Event Manager

Event Manager is a multi user application used to allocate resources which belong to the company (i.e function rooms, sports facilities etc).

The system enables an organization or individual to manage resources.  It can be tailored to any type of environment with resources to allocate.

The possibility of double bookings is removed and a pre-defined amount if information is taken per booking.

The following information can be stored:

Resources. A resource can be anything from a squash court, a golf course or conference room.  Anything can be added to the booking system and configured to suit the organisation.

Every resource has a default event type which is configured globally through events.  A default time period for a booking is also configurable to cater for the way time slots are allocated for bookings.  For example a squash court booking can be set to have a default booking period of 40 mins.  Every cell in the bookings screen would account for 40 mins.

Events. An event can be anything that the organisation can offer or cater for such as a meeting, squash game or a round of golf.

The event details can hold text data, lists and tick boxes and can be used to create a configurable input form for a booking.

Bookings. All bookings have a Start and End time, and allow comments.

Also, when a booking is added the default Event Type is used to generate a booking form.  The event type can be changed from the default if required and the relevant booking form displayed.

A booking can be a recurring item – for example every Friday at 11am for the next 5 weeks.

A member\customer may also be attached to a booking if required.  This will allow for organisations that have a membership list.

Members\Customers. Member records can be stored in the system for allocation to bookings.  This allows for membership records to be recalled – speeding up the entering of booking information.  Members can be added, removed and updated.
